MANY CONGRATULATIONS to Dr. Katherine Cloud, who was officially awarded her Ph.D. from UNC on Thursday of last week!!!!! Hurray!!!!
Last Friday I left Athens to attend Shaun's surprise 50th Birthday Party. Matt planned such a great evening and we all had a blast!!!
My sister-in-law, Pat Reynolds, and her friend Lisa, spent the night at ZTA and were the 'official ZTA House Sitters" while I was in Atlanta.

Of course I stayed at the Cloud B & B and had a great time. We all got up early on Saturday to get ready to head back to Athens.
When I got back to Athens, I was invited to a ZTA tailgate with the older crowd and some of their parents. I'm 6th from left. While I was with this group, I ran into several ATO's from my days on campus . . .

I left the ZTA tailgate and headed down Baxter to Sigma Chi.

It was grand to meet Mr. Pierce Tassa, he is adorable!
Karen Lock & Katie @ ballgame; we all loved watching Knowshon hurdle over the head of our opponents . . .

I promise that we really are at the UGA Soccer Game on Sunday afternoon. . .
Here's proof! I am trying to make sure that I participate in everything at least once.
This was my last soccer game as well . . . . didn't have a clue what they were doing.

UGA vrs. Stanford on Sunday
This morning I attended the funeral of long time friend, Susan Duke's husband, Leroy Dukes. Susan was a Tri Delta advisor that we all loved when I was at UGA. She is about 13 years older than I am and we all thought she was old when we were in school. Can you believe how old these girls must think I am????????? At any rate, the funeral was a great celebration of Leroy. Coach Dooley spoke and recalled so many funny stories about Leroy. My favorite stories were of he and Susan and their generosity and that he owned the Frog Pond Lounge at the Ramada Inn in Athens. He let all of us DDD's have an open tab at his bar and he loved us.
Tonight at Chapter Dinner the entire UGA men's Swim/Dive Team came over to encourage us to attend their meets. It was hysterical. Webb Worthington, a Diver/EX/former Wesleyan student introduced the group to us and then announced that the Freshman had a special dance for the ZTA's. They sang some rap song and started taking it all off . . . down to their swimsuits. Everyone was loving it and we were all cracking up. Soooo, as any marvelous House Mom would do when they were finished, I invited them all to have dinner with us in three weeks. They happily accepted and the girls loved it!
That's about it for this past week [at least the high points]. It's still great to be a Georgia Bulldog. I'll be in Atlanta on Saturday and Sunday; Katie Cloud is House Sitting for me at ZTA.
L & K, Becky
