Almost Thanksgiving!

Hope all is well with you . . . life continues to be wonderful . . lots going on! Ina and I continue with Boot Camp. No, we really don't love it but we are Staying the Course! Can't decide if I like running the mile, squats or lunges up and down the football field better - the choice is so very difficult to make for me.

Loved meeting Polly, Cindy, Deborah and Shaun for Friday afternoon girls round-up. We solved many of the worlds problems in just one sitting . . . .Katie and I went to Auburn where we froze and our beloved Bulldawgs hung on for dear life. We had fun . . . tailgated with new friends from my Athens tennis team and celebrated our hard fought victory.

Last week at ZTA and in Athens was action packed. All of the sororities have been working for weeks for Greek Grind - a fund raiser held at The Athens Classic Center - competition dancing. Barbara Lewis came up to see Cat dance for Phi Mu; but first she stopped by ZTA Spa and Resort and had dinner. We then headed downtown for a private wine tasting at DePalma's with Miss Ann, the Phi Mu House Mom in tow. There were very distinguishing judges for Greek Grind . . . . Loved spending time with UGA Cornerback Asher Allen. He is a very nice young man; his Mom I am sure is very, very proud of him! I invited him to dinner at ZTA and he took me up on my offer the very next day; brought Ricardo Crawford with him and we all had a great time together.
front row: Alex, Joni, Molly, Kelley & Danni.
2nd row: Carson, Ricardo, Natalie, Asher, Addison, Katilyn, Lauren and me.

Soooo, Tuesday & Wednesday were fun filled and then on Thursday, Deborah came into Athens. Ina and I met her at Harry Bissets before she had to tape her Inside Edition program on North Campus - just fun and laughs - catching up since our last visit. After the taping we went to the 100th Anniversary Gala for Grady School of Journalism at The Classic Center. Deb and Deborah Roberts were the two Co-Hosts.

Betty Hudson also flew in from DC and it was great to see her . . like a Tri Delta reunion. Ina and I were quoted in the Athens Banner Herald - of course what I said and what they quoted made me sound like Martin Luther King.

Sorority sisters Ina Hopkins and Becky Reynolds-Nicholson of Athens did stop by. The women were Tri Deltas with Norville in the late 1970s and shared lunch with Norville at Harry Bisset's Cafe in downtown Athens on Thursday.

Even back in college, it was easy to see Norville was headed for success, the friends said. "Absolutely, because she worked so hard. She was so driven. She put the career before the social," Hopkins said.
"She had a dream," Reynolds-Nicholson said.
Oh well . . . . my 5 minutes of fame!

Left Athens Friday after closing the ZTA house and spent the night with Polly and Tom, Tripp, Dottie, Neil and Bert before heading to Carrollton on Saturday. The Reynolds clan celebrated Thanksgiving on Sunday. . . then back to Atlanta. Had fun with friends on Monday; Tuesday spent time with Cindy and David. Mom and I are at Katie and Harrison's for Thanksgiving tonight and tomorrow night.

Some things never change . . . . Katie and Harrison have just left [11 pm] going to Five Paces with buddies. Wanted me to come and I told them that I had already spent time there about 30 years ago . . . .

I'm heading back to Athens on Friday afternoon; looking for some of you in Athens on Saturday. I wish all of you a fabulous Thanksgiving with those you love and those you hold dear. Be safe in your travels.
With love, Becky

Unbelievable Fall in the Classic City!!! WOW!

Oh my gosh . . . It is BEAUTIFUL in Athens. Let's just say life is busy and wonderful. How fortunate I am to be the ZTA House Mom! I spent the weekend of the LSU game in Atlanta with Katie and Harrison - it is so much fun being the Mom and the Mother-in-law! Katie cooked a wonderful dinner, Harrison and I drank wine and we all had a great time together. They are loving Buckhead. Needless to say, Katie and I LOVED the game. As we cheered, Harrison just laughed at us - - - a true Tennessee fan.

Katie and I went to Jax for the game, and while the score was NOT what we wanted . . . we did have FUN!

This is UGA V's grand dog.

"Miss Becky" and her ZTA gals in Jacksonville!

Tuesday night I spoke to the Athens Clarke County Planning and Zoning Committee at their open community meeting in regards to the expansion of the Tri Delta house. New experience for me, but fortunately no one showed up to oppose. The gentleman who owns the apartment building next door did a TV interview this week in opposition to the addition. I am scheduled for an interview this next week to discuss the positive aspects of the addition.

Since getting back from Florida, Ina and I have tried to get a lot accomplished. We went to the UGA Women's basketball game on Wednesday night and watched one of my AXO & ZTA gals on the UGA Dance Dogs team; a Tri Delta cheerleader and a Theta basketball player . . . I got all of my Greek groups covered that night.

Thursday night was Semi-Formal at ZTA; Amber, Lindsay, Lindsey, McCall & Ali.

Friday Ina and I attended our 1st Boot Camp . . . let's just say that we are hoping for a miracle or two. They actually timed us as we ran a mile. PLEASE quit laughing! It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Thank goodness for small favors!

Ina and I also attended our 1st UGA Equestrian Meet against SMU after lunch. This is a beautiful facility; rolling hills and horses that are exquisite.
We met a cute Tri Delta who is on the SMU team; I have a freshman ZTA on the UGA team.
Me, Miss Ann from Phi Mu and Ina with 'Tucker'.
We also met this lady that is the #1 World Champion Non-Pro Western Rider. Who could miss her? This gal was walking around the stables with this unbelievably HUGE buckle that has diamonds and rubies on it . . . . think WWE wrestling. She was actually very nice and her daughter was in Athens for an unofficial equestrian visit.

So then we headed to Harry Bissett's for Mojitos . . ran into a bunch of Sigma Chi's our age who were in town for initiation . . and then Jim met us for dinner.

Oh . . . forgot - we also had Date Night with Miss Becky . . . with FIJI . .

This morning the ZTA gals and I hosted an official Pit Stop for the Breast Cancer "In Their Shoes" walk. It was wonderful; lots of precious walkers and great stories!

I'm watching this retched ballgame at Ina and Jim's . . . . . It's still great to be a GA Bull Dawg! At the minute I am loving AJ Greene!!!! And I am really LOVING #58 right now!!! Gooooo DAWGS!

Tomorrow the ZTA Parent's club and alumnae are coming to decorate the ZTA house for Christmas. Katie and I are off to Auburn next Saturday. Hope you are all having a wonderful weekend - miss so many of you. I have loved having some of you come visit but come back!

L&K, Becky
